Our Favorite Review: Gumbeaux’s is incredible! Hand down THE best Cajun food in the Atlanta area! I haven’t had a single dish here that I didn’t like. Everything is packed with flavor and the heat is tolerable enough that a transplant Yankee like myself can enjoy it. Atmosphere is very laid back and what I’d expect along a Louisiana bayou, I love it.

The Juicy Crab delivered hot, fresh, crispy, tender and seasoned catfish! It’s not the standard cornmeal batter you’d expect but still crispy and delicious with a hint of sweetness. It’s more of a tempura batter.  A true BANG for your buck!  I’ll be ordering here again and soon! ❤️🦀🍟

This was my first visit but not my last.  The service was fast – even on a Friday night when they were busy.  And the food was absolutely delicious.  For appetizers I had the boudin balls (these were the only things I was not impressed with – everything else was amazing), the Cajun egg rolls (sooo good), and my friend had the fried green tomatoes.  For dinner I had the fried catfish and grits.  I could not eat it all it was such a hefty portion.  The flavor was a good Cajun flavor.  I ate off of it two more times at home!   I can’t wait to go back to try other things on the menu.

5. El Tio Mexican Restaurant

We were going to settle for Moe’s and the long line when we saw this sweet little spot and decided to ditch it.   They make THE BEST texas margarita I have had in years!  We both ordered the Tostada de camarons and the Tostada de ceviche as well as house salsa guacamole and queso.  I am telling you! This is the best authentic Mexican food I have had since I moved home.  Thank the Heavens for this place the decore and ambiance are amazing.  It was an amazing experience the staff were awesome, I have no idea why so may people were in line for Moe’s when this place is open..We will be back!❤️❤️….came here on a whim craving some authentic Mexican…my late father in law was… didn’t see chile verde on the menu…but am telling you this is an AMAZING jewel in the center of Douglasville right next to the Home depot…i seriously have no idea why the Taco mac has a line and this little diamond doesn’t…I enjoyed my “smell the roses” stop…and we were on with our day before many of the people we saw pull up at taco mac… and we had appetizers and a to go meal….Trust me this restaurant is  amazing…make time for it… best services in a long time!!!  We Will be back!

Our Favorite Review: We had a table of 4. Our guests were running late and our server, Harmony, was super understanding and made sure we had appetizers and drinks while we waited. The Wallabe Darned was delicious (I 100% recommend). The entire time she made sure our drinks were full, and that we had everything we needed. There was a mix up with my order and her and the manager went above and beyond to make sure that was fixed. The food was fresh and tasted fantastic. The staff were extremely communicative, welcoming, and kind. We will absolutely be coming back. Thanks a lot for the great experience!”
